Lego Tooth Fairy

Tuesday, June 3, 2014

I usually blog about decorating, but today I am taking a little detour.

My oldest, Mason lost his second tooth yesterday and was plotting with one of my neighbors on how to catch the tooth fairy.  This was better than his first plan which was to shoot down the tooth fairy with a bow and arrow!

I thought it would be fun to booby trap a Lego Tooth Fairy instead.  She is part Lego Friend (Mom has to have some Lego Friends to play with!), part Chima Eagle, her hair was borrowed from Thor and the dollar is in Wonder Woman's Lasso. I just worked with what we had.

Don't worry, I heard she already escaped and will be flying around again tonight!

Boys room inspiration

Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there.  My boys have spoiled me rotten!

Yes, that is a box with an MK bag and a watch.  I have been torn between two colors so my awesome hubby wrapped one of each for me to decide.

Last night the whole fam went out to Southpoint.  I love to get inspiration from PB Kids. Here were some of my favorites:

Dining Room aka Lego Library

Wednesday, May 7, 2014

I have been on a blogging hiatus.  I think I got burnt out from too many late nights plus eating, sleeping, living and breathing design.

We have made a lot of progress on our Dining Room.  However, we don't eat in there.  Ever.  We use the huge table to build Legos.  Lots and lots of Legos!

But one day a month we clean up all the Legos...today was that day.

Here is a close up of the faux zinc table base.  You may remember this table was a Craig's List find see here. When we brought it home it was lemon yellow.

The dining chairs are from World Market and the rug was found on a Joss & Main.  It is an indoor/outdoor Safaveih rug that is perfect for easy clean up in a kids space.

The art is from Ikea and I fell in love because we have been to Paris and London so it has personal meaning for us.

I found this chandy on Joss & Main and was lucky enough to find it for sale on Craig's List the very next day.
