Millon Dollar Model Upstairs

Saturday, March 28, 2015

Yesterday I shared the first floor of the model home that I can't get out of my head.  The ceiling and details throughout were stunning.  When you go up stairs you walk into the Homework Landing.

From there you head down the hall to the bonus room.  I love it! My only complaint is that it is right off the Master Bedroom which defeats the purpose for me since it is the kids hang out space.

It was complete with a wet bar, microwave and beverage cooler drawers.

The Master Bedroom

I am a sucker for a claw foot tub.

This is the view from the upstairs Master Bedroom Balcony.

Three kids bedrooms.  I love the wallpaper panels in the "girl's room".

A view of the back of the house concludes the tour.

Photos don't do it justice, if you love peeking into real estate you should check it out.  This is not a sponsored post, I just think the house is really cool!

What was your favorite part?

Boys' Room Progress

Sunday, October 19, 2014

I hope you had a great weekend.  We certainly did!  We managed to make a lot of progress on the Boys' Bedroom by painting the walls, changing out their bedding, finishing their headboards, installing varsity font wall decals, painting a lamp and hanging some art.

Lots of blogs out there will show one huge room reveal, but I thought I would use more of a One Room Challenge style of update and show you our progress as we go along.

This picture was taken before I painted the lamp.  You will get to see it red in the next round of photos.

Next I will be working on Star Wars canvases that will be part of a gallery wall. I already purchased the materials.  While at Michael's I scored an awesome pocket watch style red wall clock. I also placed on order for Ikea Lack wall shelves in red and super cute wall sconces.

Bedroom Update

Tuesday, May 13, 2014

Our Master Bedroom has been an ongoing project.  We made an upholstered bed, hung curtains, a mirror, and brought in our dressers. But it still needs a lot of work.  Let's be real, our whole house needs work!

You can see in the reflection in the mirror the unpainted crown molding.  We have lots of crown that needs to be painted.  The weather has been way too gorgeous to be inside painting though.

The bedroom corner has been calling for a chair and little side table.  We are looking to have a beachy vibe in the space without it screaming THEMED Beach room.

Then I saw the World Market ad that featured this chair.  I knew it was what our room needed.  Now we just have to go and get it.

I would also love to have inlaid shell lamps like these I found at TJ Maxx.

I can't justify buying new lamps when we already have a pair of great lamps.  The room also needs art.  The walls are completely bare! I am constantly drawn to ocean abstracts like these.

Ready for company

Thursday, March 6, 2014

Our guest room is far from perfect, but it is certainly more comfortable now.

This is how the room looked when I left for work this morning, but then Handsome Hubby made additional tweaks to make it even better.

Forgive the bad lighting as it was dark when I got home.

Our improvement list for this room includes:

Paint
Different curtains
Matching lamps (I have some frm GCF)
Hooking up Dish and a TV

Friday's Favorite Things

You guys seem to like my Favorite Things post for World Market, so here's one from another one of my fave stores West Elm. When I started this collection I had no intention of creating a bedroom mood board, but this would make a gorgeous Master Bedroom.
